Embracing Change in an Abrasive Time
By Katie Van Blargan, Customer Service Team Lead & Marketing Strategist“Change” (verb) is a word that means to alter, modify, or make something different.
There are a number of ways to describe this seemingly simple six-letter word, but it does not eliminate that uneasy feeling that many people experience at the mere mention of the word.
Ask anyone they’ll likely agree – the one constant in life is change.
In the business world, change is a continuous ebb and flow of decisions that are made throughout a company. It can affect procedures, products, staff, technology, and more.
Over the years, Meridian Products has undergone a multitude of changes including new hands of ownership, split shifts, material grades, vendors, and product development.
While change can make anyone uncomfortable – and sometimes it’s easier said than done – there comes a point in time when acceptance is key because it will make a person or company stronger.
That’s why, about a year ago, it was decided that Meridian Products would switch from Conversion Varnish to Polyurethane.
Stay tuned for a new video for our customers where Katie, our Marketing Strategist, will walk through Meridian’s shop and share the challenges we faced in the switch to Polyurethane, and the steps we took to overcome them. She’ll also highlight various products so you can understand in depth what our changes entailed.
So, while a “Dear Valued Customer” message might give some people uneasy butterflies, this coming-soon video will show how change has allowed us to evolve and produce a better product for our customers.
